The effects of coffee on me

I am not a coffee drinker but there are times when I crave for a cup of coffee and whenever my craving hit me, I just go for an instant coffee and usually it's a 3-in-1 type.  I love the smell and taste of brewed coffee but my system just can't take its strength.  My hands just kept on shaking every time I consume brewed coffee.

The only time that I find coffee useful is when I have my period and I have stomach cramps,  I drink instant coffee without sugar and cream and somehow I am relieved of the discomfort brought about by the pain of stomach cramps.

Last night after dinner, my husband wanted a cup of coffee and since it's still early in the evening, about 6:30, I also asked him to prepare another cup for me.  The coffee was really good and the aroma ... it's just so inviting.

Sleeping time came and I found it hard to sleep.  My eyes are closed but my mind was really active.  A lot of thoughts just kept on popping on my mind.  I went out of bed at around midnight and I drank a glass of cold milk but it didn't help so I just opened my computer and surfed the net.  I went back to bed at 3:00 o'clock in the morning and still I had a hard time getting myself to sleep.

The result, I woke up at 5:00 o'clock in the morning feeling tired and awful so I decided to stay in bed and just call the office that I'll be on leave today.

  2. Wow, that's absolutely right.. no more coffee before bedtime... or if the craving is really strong, perhaps you can take decaf? I'm a coffee addict but since I got pregnant and started breastfeeding, I can't take caffeine in my system as my baby goes berserk! LOL... so I started drinking decaf... not like a true blue regular coffee but can do for a quick coffee cravings :)
