It’s Time to Give Up

Last weekend I spent time trying to make an onion costume for CJ.  It will be his costume for their school’s coming Nutrition Month celebration on Thursday.  I spent the whole Saturday morning trying to construct something like a Japanese lantern that will fit him but I just can’t get the look that I want.  I tried to make the costume using papers, next I tried to use a piece of cloth but nothing worked out the way I want it to be.  The costume doesn’t look like an onion … it looked like a piece of trash, haaaay.

Yesterday, I again tried to make the costume but still the same, it’s not good.  I was really irritated because I can’t get the look that I want.  There even came a time that I’m already bad mouthing … so bad of me, I know, but sometimes when I’m irritated I just can’t control my mouth which is a very bad example to my children.  CJ although a little scared still managed to tell me “O mama, bad yon ha!”

Okay, that’s it.  I have to stop what I’m doing.  I know I’m not really that creative type and even if I’ll try to make that costume the whole day, I won’t be accomplishing anything so it’s time to give up and just leave this costume making to the hands of the experts.

  1. My husband and I were the one who designed our son's tomato costume during their Nutrition Month. I just asked my sister's expertise in sewing it.

We were glad we did it because my son got be best costume award.
